Payman Shamsian

Payman Shamsian has worked on migration, human trafficking, and child protection over the last four years, both as a researcher and aid worker. As a researcher, he worked on different topics around migration and human trafficking in Afghanistan and Europe. He was the lead researcher of the first national report on “Trafficking in Person in Afghanistan”, commissioned by International Organization for Migration and Afghanistan’s Ministry of Justice, in 2017. Currently, as Street Child’s program manager in Afghanistan, he oversees various projects on child protection and education for children, particularly in Juvenile Rehabilitation Centres and Women Prisons in Afghanistan.
