Amb. Luis C.deBaca

Ambassador Luis C. deBaca coordinated US and global activities in the fight against modern slavery in the Obama Administration.  A former federal prosecutor with expertise in hate crimes, police brutality and corruption, human trafficking, immigration, and money laundering, he is a Fellow at the Gilder Lehrman Center for the Study of Slavery, Resistance, and Abolition at Yale University, where he has taught at Yale Law School and in the History Department.  His academic and consulting work focuses on forced and child labor in such supply chains as construction materials, minerals, palm oil, rubber, cocoa, and laborers.
